What's New with Golightly

I'm a horrible blogger, but I know many of you are curious about our dear friend. Here is the latest, and even "the latest" is a little late. Sorry.

Thursday, June 18: "Early today, Barrow Neurological Institute (at St. Joseph's Hospital) in Arizona accepted Golightly under their care. Through the efforts at Baylor and Barrow they were able to secure a med-flight for Golightly. She has left her room at Baylor hospital and is now in Arizona. It was quite a surprise for alot of us how quickly things progressed during the day! Everything moved along quite fast but we wish to say thank you on Golightly's behalf to all of her support including her friends, family, and caring staff of nurses and tech's at Baylor. With everyones help, love, and prayers Golightly is well on her way and daily continues to make progress. God Bless all."

Monday, July 6: "It has been some time since Golightly has been in Arizona. She is doing well at Barrow Neuro center. They constantly put Golightly up in a rehab chair and have extensive times set aside during the day for rigorous physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy. She is still improving day by day with minor setbacks. She is in the Neuro center in her own private suite in room 16. With the continued support of family, friends, and staff at Barrow Golightly will hopefully continue on her upward path to recovery!!"

Sorry, I haven't kept up with the updates. Things got a bit chaotic when we were selling T-shirts. She seems to be doing better, but I haven't spoken to anyone close to her to get all the details. Keep praying.

that is good to hear. Being that she is getting speech therapy does that mean she woke up?
Thank you for the updates!

I am glad that Golightly is improving and appreciate your updates. I am confused though - is she out of her coma? If she is having speech therapy does that mean she is alert? I also don't understand why you don't know more if you two were such good friends. Don't you have Cowboy's number or a way to get a hold of him, or her mom, or another friend?!?! I know that if it were my friend I would have had my butt there by her bed for a least a visit (baby or not) and I sure as heck would want to know more details.

I know the folks at the BNI and they're good, so I'm glad she's in good hands. My thoughts are with her.
